《This Advent kit is designed to bring joy and inspiration into your December with a new skein of yarn to open each day from December 1st to 25th.》
Embracing the theme of "The Future is Merry and Bright", this year's kit takes its inspiration from the winter solstice and the hope that comes with the returning sun. As we close in on the longest night, we know that ahead lie brighter days and new joys (even if that can be difficult to feel in the depths of of winter). The colors are drawn from images that evoke celebration, hope, and the simple pleasure of beholding beauty: Christmas baubles, a serene sunrise, an enchanting winter woodland. It is an uplifting, inspiring love letter to the coming year, a daily invitation to celebrate our present and future self, and a meditation on the joys that patience begets.
The colors are designed exclusively for this kit and drawn from the inspiration images shown in the first 3 photos. This year there are 2 different dyeing styles available: Gradient and Tonal/Multicolored (which will include semisolid/tonal colors as well as kettle-dyed/gently multicolored yarns). Each color also comes with a short inspirational or meditative note based on its reference image, written by the dyer.
As always, these kits are packaged with the utmost care for both the yarn and the environment. Everything in your kit, apart from the yarn and goodies, is made from post-consumer paper and is 100% recyclable in your regular paper recycling (that even includes the shipping label, no need to tear it off)!

- Eco Merino Fingering (100% organic merino, 2-ply, 20 g/80 yds)
- GRADIENT OPTION Wanderlust Fingering (49% BFL wool, 51% silk, 3-ply, 20 g/88 yds) These mini skeins are already wound and ready for use.

☆An original knitting advent shawl/wrap pattern (in the form of a pdf file) made specifically for this kit. The pattern requires basic knitting skills and simple increases and decreases, and is suitable for an advanced beginner (but entertaining enough for an advanced knitter). Once the advent kits have shipped you will be able to download a version of the pattern that does not contain any photos, to avoid spoilers. At the end of December a new copy of the pattern with photos will be uploaded and emailed as an update (if you don't want spoilers, you can ignore that email!) Please see the final 2 photos for examples of previous years' patterns (the next to last photo shows the non-Gradient kit from 2023, while the last photo shows an example of a Gradient advent kit from 2021).

About the yarns:
Eco Merino Light and Eco Merino Fingering are both fantastically soft, luscious organic fine merino yarns with similar yardages. They are both excellent options for shawls and wraps, they're both wonderful choices for your skin and for the environment, and they work up to virtually identical gauges. The only significant difference between them is that Eco Merino Light is a single-ply yarn, which gives it great stitch definition and a more crisp appearance to colors, while Eco Merino Fingering is a 2-ply yarn, which makes it a bit bouncier, makes it wear better, and gives it slightly less crisp appearance to colors. Wanderlust Fingering is a brand new and thrilling addition to Wull Studios. BFL wool is less bouncy, more lustrous, smoother and crisper than merino wool. When blended with mulberry silk, it creates a yarn that seems to glow from within and begs to be touched. It has all the softness you'd expect from a luxury yarn, while retaining a robustness that is delightful to work with and incredible to wear. Please see photos 7 and 8 for examples of this yarn in the skein and knit up (note that the colors shown are not part of this kit and are purely illustrative of the yarn's qualities).
